Job Requirements

  • 2 years experience in planning, coordinating, and executing events
  • strong negotiation and clear communication skills

  • excellent computer skills including MS Office and donor management software

Job Qualifications

  • 2 years experience in planning, coordinating, and executing events, with additional experience in volunteer management or resource development preferred
  • strong negotiation and clear communication skills, both written and verbal
  • highly collaborative in approach
  • possess energy, professionalism, motivation to work independently and proactively, and a drive to achieve goals
  • detail-oriented self-starter who plans and executes events and projects with accuracy and follow-through
  • excellent computer skills, specifically MS Office products (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and donor management software
  • passion for Habitat's mission and goals to build a world where everyone has a decent place to call home

Job Duties

  • Manage a portfolio of entry-level corporate donors and volunteer prospects, implementing strategies for retention, recognition, and growth
  • conduct research and prepare prospect profiles for potential and existing corporate partners
  • lead sponsorship fulfillment to ensure corporate partners receive all promised benefits, recognition and engagement opportunities
  • maintain accurate donor records in Giveffect, ensuring data integrity and tracking all corporate interactions
  • cultivate and strengthen relationships with current and lapsed corporate sponsors, identifying opportunities to deepen partnership involvement
  • support additional fundraising initiatives and development activities as assigned
  • coordinate event logistics for Habitat KC affinity builds and third-party fundraisers
  • coordinate corporate volunteer engagement events, ensuring an excellent experience that reinforces long-term partnerships
  • serve as co-chair of the internal fun force committee, leading efforts to plan and execute staff appreciation and engagement events
  • manage event logistics for both internal and external development events as assigned
