Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in culinary arts hospitality management or related field preferred
- Minimum of 7 years of progressive leadership experience in culinary operations preferably within the hotel or hospitality industry
- ServSafe Manager certification required
- Proven record of success in managing multi-property culinary operations
- Strong knowledge of food safety regulations and compliance standards
- Excellent leadership abilities with a track record of mentoring and developing teams
- Strong financial acumen including budgeting cost control and revenue optimization
- Ability to travel up to 50 percent of the time
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
- Demonstrated capability to innovate and implement culinary concepts effectively
- Proficiency with food and beverage management systems and related technologies
- Flexible and adaptable to dynamic work environments and changing priorities
Job Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Corporate Director of Culinary or similar leadership role ideally in a multi-property hotel or hospitality context
- Strong knowledge of food and beverage systems databases and financial reporting tools
- Ability to architect strategy and lead teams effectively at all levels of the organization
- Excellent communication negotiation and presentation skills
- Strong computational analytical and problem-solving abilities with experience in budget analysis and forecasting
- Extensive expertise in menu development marketing strategies cost control and labor management
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced high-pressure environment while maintaining high standards of quality and service
- Thorough knowledge of food products standard recipes and proper preparation techniques
- Experience in staff supervision and development ensuring team goals are met efficiently
- Ability to handle internal and external customer interactions with patience tact and diplomacy
- Proficiency in creating recipes recipe cards descriptions and visual materials for consistency and training
- Strong focus on team development and continued education for corporate and property-level culinary leaders
- ServSafe Manager certification required
- Demonstrated experience stabilizing and improving kitchen operations
- Ability and willingness to travel up to 50 percent of the time or more as business needs require
Job Duties
- Develop and execute a company-wide culinary strategy ensuring alignment with Charlestowne Hotels brand values and revenue goals
- Oversee all aspects of culinary operations including leadership development menu engineering and vendor partnerships
- Establish and uphold standards for food quality presentation and operational efficiency across all culinary operations
- Drive financial performance by optimizing revenue generation cost controls labor management and overall profitability
- Ensure compliance with all local state federal and brand food safety standards including HACCP ServSafe sanitation
- Lead mentor and develop corporate and property-level culinary teams fostering a culture of accountability and innovation
- Champion sustainable and ethical sourcing practices incorporating local seasonal and high-quality ingredients
- Stay ahead of industry trends including evolving consumer behaviors food technology and wellness-driven dining
- Establish plating presentation and recipe standards that elevate guest experience and ensure consistency
- Ensure all food and beverage outlets deliver exceptional guest experiences reflecting each property’s unique identity and market positioning
- Support new openings renovations and repositioning initiatives through the development and implementation of distinct culinary concepts menus and operating frameworks that align with company standards local market demand and long-term financial performance expectations
