Job Requirements

  • Associates degree in culinary arts, culinary management, nutrition, or related field preferred
  • Five to seven years of experience in culinary or nutrition roles
  • Experience working in a food service distribution environment preferred
  • ServSafe certification preferred
  • Ability to communicate effectively and professionally
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills
  • Flexible to adjust priorities as needed
  • Physical ability to lift and carry up to 75 lbs
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, crouch, climb, and sit intermittently for up to 10 hours
  • Capability to work in temperature ranges from -15°F to 88°F
  • Willingness to work occasional evenings and weekends

Job Qualifications

  • Preferred associates degree in culinary arts, culinary management, nutrition, or related field
  • Five to seven years of progressive culinary or nutrition experience
  • Experience in a food service distributor preferred
  • ServSafe certification preferred
  • Certification as a ServSafe instructor highly desirable
  • Strong communication skills to interact professionally and persuasively
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications including Word and Excel
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and adapt to changing priorities
  • Practical reasoning and judgment skills to solve problems effectively

Job Duties

  • Develops and refines recipes, menu applications, and product usage guides
  • Collaborates with Business Development Team in product testing and vendor partnerships
  • Leads culinary innovation to support new product launches
  • Designs and rolls out culinary standards including plating, portioning, cooking methods, and presentation guidelines
  • Supports customer-facing events, sales demos, and field tastings by designing menus and preparing sample kits
  • Creates and delivers training materials and sessions on product preparation, food safety, and presentation
  • Collaborates with operations and logistics teams to ensure products meet quality standards
  • Monitors culinary consistency and food safety across distribution channels and events
  • Tracks food cost, waste, and efficiency in demo and training settings
  • Assists in the development of proprietary private label products
  • Applies market research to drive competitive advantage
  • Represents the company professionally as a culinary ambassador
  • Maintains oversight of kitchen facilities and equipment
  • Implements and maintains biweekly cleaning schedule
  • Acts as a resource for culinary questions and product opinions
  • Performs related duties as assigned by supervisor
