Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree
- Seven years of relevant experience in fundraising or related special events management
- Proven success working with boards, volunteers and event committees
- Background in marketing and sales preferred
- Ability to recruit and manage vendors and sponsors
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Capacity to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams
- Ability to manage budgets and event logistics
- Availability to work occasional variable weekends

- Minimum of seven years of experience in fundraising or related business with proven success in special events management
- Demonstrated ability to work successfully with boards, volunteers and event committees
- Background in marketing and sales is preferred
Job Duties
- Recruit vendors to existing event projects and collaborate with the special events team to attract new sponsors
- Facilitate interaction opportunities between vendors, corporations, hospital administrators, and physicians through event sponsorships
- Communicate and interface with operations teams to track event participation and provide updated reports
- Generate a minimum of $100,000 annually in new sponsor revenue connected to special events such as golf outings and galas
- Participate in managing specific events and donor recognition activities with executive leadership
- Develop and implement comprehensive written plans and timelines for each event including fundraising goals
- Recruit, mobilize, staff, and thank volunteer committees for events as needed
- Work effectively with volunteers and development staff to meet sponsorship goals and prepare for events
- Manage third-party and departmental fundraising efforts ensuring policy compliance and communication consistency
- Develop and manage event budgets coordinated with overall Special Events Program goals
- Collaborate with Foundation staff to develop invitation and prospect lists
- Produce collateral materials and scripts with Vice Presidents and Directors for each event
- Maintain records for each event to guide future planning
- Strategize with Senior Director Major Gifts and major gift officers to create entry-level sponsorships and align event strategies with major gift plans
- Foster positive relationships across hospital divisions, Foundation teams, and special events staff
- Develop a new portfolio of vendor sponsors
- Perform all other assigned duties and projects
