Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- previous experience in serving or hospitality
- flexible schedule including availability for days, nights, and weekends
- ability to work late shifts up to 11:30 p.m.
- physical stamina to carry heavy objects and stand or walk for extended periods
- compliance with alcohol service laws
- reliable transportation to Dexter, MI
- ability to complete training in a timely manner
Job Qualifications
- Experience working in the foodservice or hospitality industry
- previous serving experience preferably in banquet settings
- ability to follow directions under time pressure with a positive attitude
- excellent communication skills
- strong multitasking ability
- organizational skills with attention to detail
- ability to safely lift and carry 50 pounds and navigate stairs
- strong interpersonal and problem-solving skills
- ability to work effectively as part of a team
Job Duties
- Deliver the Zingerman's experience to all guests including following the 5 steps to handling a customer complaint
- serve drinks and/or food at events
- abide by all laws relating to alcohol service including ensuring guests are not over served
- assist with setup, teardown, replenishing food, serving, and cleaning at catering events as needed
- keep the workspace clean, organized and sanitized
- take direction from managers or supervisors on duty
- respond quickly to requests from guests, coworkers, supervisors and managers while being accurate, polite and enthusiastic
- follow up to ensure guest needs are met and exceeded
- maintain a professional image through actions and appearance
