Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in exercise physiology or related field
  • Minimum three years of experience managing or developing health and wellness programs
  • Certification as wellness or personal trainer from recognized institutions
  • Ability to design, implement, and evaluate wellness programs
  • Strong organizational and leadership skills
  • Knowledge of safety protocols and emergency procedures
  • Ability to communicate effectively with clients, staff, and facility management

Job Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or master's degree in exercise physiology, exercise science, kinesiology, athletic training, or related discipline
  • Three years of documented experience in wellness program management or development in club, school, or hospital-affiliated health and fitness settings
  • Proven success as a wellness or personal trainer
  • Certification from National Strength and Conditioning Association, National Academy of Sports Medicine, American College of Sports Medicine, or Athletic Training Certification

Job Duties

  • Designs and implements health and wellness programs reflecting Powerback Rehabilitation concepts and practices
  • Ensures cardiovascular and strength training equipment is appropriate and maintained per manufacturer specifications
  • Coordinates repair and preventive maintenance of exercise equipment
  • Recommends acquisition of exercise equipment to support new programs
  • Develops programming supporting Powerback Rehabilitation philosophy and resident needs
  • Establishes procedures to evaluate program revenue, expenses, and participant satisfaction
  • Develops and implements safety plans including emergency procedures
  • Ensures cost-effective procedures for highest level of program safety and quality
  • Completes patient registration, scheduling, and daily staffing with direction from the Director of Rehabilitation
  • Develops and maintains relationships with facility management as on-site representative
  • Provides client and non-client related services within legal and ethical guidelines
  • Performs other duties as assigned
