Job Description

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in business or related field from an accredited college/university or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • 3 years of related or comparable professional experience
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines
  • Excellent communication skills both written and oral
  • Experience in volunteer program coordination or student engagement initiatives preferred
  • Proficiency with personal computer and standard software applications including Microsoft Office Suite
  • Ability to work effectively with diverse populations
  • Demonstrated creativity and initiative
  • Ability to make independent decisions

Job Qualifications

  • Minimum of 3 years of related or comparable professional experience
  • Experience coordinating volunteer programs or student engagement initiatives preferred
  • Ability to track and report data including volunteer hours and event feedback
  • Experience in event planning, program coordination or community outreach
  • Prior experience working in student services or with diverse student populations
  • Strong organizational skills managing multiple projects simultaneously
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Ability to motivate and inspire student participation
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
  • High degree of creativity and initiative
  • Ability to make independent decisions

Job Duties

  • Oversee daily operations of The Den, Henderson including hiring and supervising student staff
  • Develop, plan and execute events at the center
  • Manage budget and serve as a resource to campus community reserving the center
  • Coordinate volunteer opportunities for CSN students and staff with Vegas Valley community
  • Foster partnerships with community organizations for service-learning and volunteer sites
  • Develop and launch the True-Blue Service initiative to set community-wide service goals
  • Track service hours and promote CSN as an organization that gives back to the community
  • Perform administrative duties including meetings and P-card reconciliation
  • Participate in special projects and professional development programs as assigned
