Job Requirements

  • part-time salaried position with 25 hour work week including 3 weekends a month at least one day in office per week and some evening events
  • strong alignment with the beliefs vision and mission of Pillar Church
  • ability to work collaboratively with staff and volunteers
  • excellent communication and organizational skills
  • proficiency with church management software and data management
  • proven leadership and team development experience
  • ability to maintain accurate records and manage budget in partnership with pastor
  • commitment to timely response and follow-up with visitors
  • availability for mandatory staff meetings and monthly staff chapel

Job Qualifications

  • strong commitment to Christian faith and values aligned with the church's beliefs mission and vision
  • ministry experience preferred, particularly in hospitality outreach or discipleship
  • excellent interpersonal and communication skills with ability to connect with diverse backgrounds
  • organizational and administrative skills including proficiency in managing data and using church management software
  • leadership abilities to recruit train and motivate volunteers
  • ability to collaborate within cross-functional teams
  • excellent attention to detail and passion for maintaining high-quality standards
  • takes initiative and displays focus passion and drive
  • committed to growth and improvement seeks constructive criticism and understands strengths and weaknesses
  • self-motivated with capacity to work independently and manage time effectively

Job Duties

  • help develop strategies to attract and welcome visitors to the church
  • coordinate visitor follow up and ensure timely communication
  • oversee how visitors connect into the church by providing clear pathways for membership and church engagement
  • strategically plan initiatives aimed at introducing newcomers to the church community and ministries
  • monthly plan the teaching and training materials for the 2-week start here membership classes
  • recruit, onboard, train and schedule Connect team members to oversee and care for the needs of members at the Connect desk and assist with the assimilation process
  • plan intentional time to connect with visitors one on one
  • maintain accurate records of visitor information and review monthly reports
  • work with Connect Pastor to plan yearly budget and review and adjust end of month reports
  • plan to be scheduled 3 times a month primarily overseeing the Connect Desk and serving in various areas along with other staff
