Job Requirements

  • Master’s degree from an accredited institution in an appropriate area of specialization or bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution and two years of relevant experience
  • Ability to work Monday to Friday, 8 am to 5 pm, with some nights and weekends
  • Experience managing outdoor recreation programs and staff
  • Knowledge of ACCT and ANSI standards
  • Capability to perform risk assessments and maintain safety protocols
  • Competence in maintaining inventory and preventative maintenance
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Valid background and employment screenings
  • Willingness to undergo drug and alcohol testing

Job Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in an appropriate field or bachelor’s degree with two years of relevant experience
  • Experience in outdoor recreation and experiential education program management
  • Knowledge of challenge course technology and safety standards
  • Skilled in staff recruitment, training, supervision, and evaluation
  • Strong organizational, communication, and customer service skills
  • Ability to develop and implement risk management policies in line with industry standards
  • Proficiency with reservation and billing systems
  • Familiarity with wilderness medicine and Leave-No-Trace ethics

Job Duties

  • Oversee, manage, and implement challenge course programs, climbing wall operations, and experiential workshops
  • Assist with gear rental and adventure trips and co-lead trips when necessary
  • Manage all customer relations from inquiry through billing and follow-up
  • Maintain reservation and billing systems alongside Coordinator of Reservations
  • Develop and update challenge course programs including ground-based, low, and high element activities
  • Plan and implement outreach events, incentive programs, educational tabling, and collaborative events
  • Track and analyze participation trends and revenue generation to inform programming and staffing decisions
