Job Requirements

  • Master’s degree or a BA/BS degree plus at least five years of relevant experience
  • Experience working in a collegiate housing operation as a graduate or professional staff member for two years preferred
  • Experience working in a customer service role preferred
  • Experience with camps and conference groups within higher education preferred
  • Experience supervising student staff preferred
  • Experience using StarRez or another housing management system preferred

Job Duties

  • Develop and manage the Housing & Residence Life website including content creation and implementation
  • Develop and execute social media strategies and manage all channels for Housing & Residence Life
  • Oversee publications and branding efforts aligned with university standards in collaboration with other departments
  • Manage day-to-day operations of the Housing Information Desk including staff supervision
  • Co-lead summer operations team and manage summer group lodging and program reservations
  • Lead residential room key processes including audits and distribution
  • Lead student employment processes within assigned areas
  • Provide administrative support for student employment and conduct case management
  • Adjudicate significant behavioral conduct cases and manage hostile environment cases
  • Manage break duty scheduling and training for student staff
  • Participate in Director On-Call rotation during summer
  • Lead departmental roles in Orientation and Admissions events
  • Assist with programming initiatives and serve on opening and closing committees
  • Help select full-time housing and residence life staff
  • Support emergency response procedures
  • Represent Housing & Residence Life on university committees and task forces
  • Collaborate with student life staff to deliver residential programs and services
