Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree
- 1-2 years of undergraduate experience working in residence life, student activities, programming, or related area
- pre-employment criminal and credit background check
- must be authorized to work in the United States

- master's degree in higher education, student personnel or related area preferred
- 1-2 years of professional experience in campus life or student programming preferred
- strong problem-solving skills
- excellent written and public communication skills
- ability to work independently and collaboratively
- knowledge of student development theory
- experience in program assessment
- experience in event planning and leadership development
Job Duties
- supervise Davenport Leaders
- advise commuter students
- supervise the Commuters at Randolph (CAR) Club
- assist with advising Omicron Delta Kappa
- oversee the budget and website for respective departments
- plan, direct, and oversee orientation check-in operations
- serve as departmental lead during Orientation sessions
- act as authorized representative during Orientation programming
- administer and evaluate Orientation processes
- oversee Commuter Life at Randolph and rebuild and brand the Student Organization, Commuters at Randolph (CAR)
- manage and oversee commuter student approval process
- help with onboarding and educational opportunities for Commuter Students during Orientation
- oversee Commuter Lounge Space including lockers
- plan events to connect commuter students with one another and campus resources
- hold monthly drop-in meetings to connect with commuters
- plan Commuter Student Appreciation Day/Week annually
- orchestrate the annual student leader selection process
- coordinate recruitment strategies, interviews, and selections
- create advertisement materials for leadership positions
- design, coordinate, and facilitate leadership development workshops
- plan and lead leadership trainings and retreats
- develop and oversee First-Year Friday Events
- direct planning and execution of Leadership Awards Ceremony
- serve as conduct-hearing officer and adjudicate violations
- attend divisional staff meetings
- represent the division through campus-wide committee work
- assist with room assignment process
- enforce college policies and procedures
- serve as conduct investigator
- make referrals to appropriate resources
- participate in on-call and emergency response rotation
- respond to administrator on-call phone calls and texts
- serve as resource for HRs, RAs, Campus Safety Officers, and others
- inform Assistant Dean of Students about emergencies
- submit incident reports
- assist with summer on-call administration
- supervise Davenport Leaders and CAR Club
- maintain professional discretion and judgement
