Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering
  • 1 - 5 years of progressive maintenance experience in large industrial manufacturing industry
  • 5 years of experience in heavy industrial/heavy manufacturing
  • Proven knowledge of preventative and predictive maintenance methodologies and technologies
  • Ability to work independently and lead or participate in cross-functional teams
  • Excellent communication, team interaction, and presentation skills
  • Understanding of electrical regulatory and industrial standards and codes
  • Understanding of control and instrumentation systems in industrial manufacturing
  • CMRP or CRE certification preferred
  • Vibration Level 1 or 2 certification preferred
  • Experience in CMMS systems
  • Must comply with safety protocols including wearing necessary protective equipment
  • Ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting up to 100 pounds and climbing
  • Must pass DOT physical including back x-ray, hearing test, and drug/alcohol screening

  • Experience in reliability methodologies such as RCA, RCI, FMFA, statistical downtime analysis, Fishbone analysis
  • Experience in engineering, specification, and design of mechanical systems, assets, and projects
  • Excellent communication, team interaction, and presentation skills
  • Ability to work independently and lead or participate in cross-functional teams
  • Self-starter with effective multitasking and minimal supervision
  • Understanding of electrical regulatory and industrial standards and codes
  • Understanding of control and instrumentation systems in industrial manufacturing
  • CMRP or CRE certification
  • Vibration Level 1 or 2 certification
  • Experience in CMMS systems
  • Knowledge of reliability methodologies such as RCM, TPM, spare parts management, planning, and scheduling

Job Duties

  • Receive the work daily program from the Programmer and verify reception of materials and necessary tools
  • Designate appropriate members of teams to execute specified work
  • Establish performance goals with the work team and monitor work quality, quantity, and safety according to CEMEX policies
  • Encourage work team members by acknowledging achievements and correcting inadequate performance
  • Guarantee maintenance and operation programs are established and executed as per specifications
  • Verify entry of finished work orders with actual resources and remarks for maintenance records
  • Support continuous improvement efforts to maximize team reliability and effectiveness
  • Participate in daily Planning and Advance meetings
  • Report all maintenance and operation events and minor works in shift reports and open work orders
  • Support team members in implementing and developing maintenance programs including Autonomous Maintenance
  • Report emergency works served, labor applied, and resources used
  • Provide support in parts, materials, and external resource estimation
  • Execute maintenance works according to weekly/daily programs
  • Provide feedback to execution and emergency activity programs
  • Ensure team safety and efficient resource use
  • Maintain excellent quality in activity execution and equipment operating conditions
  • Solve emergencies minimizing repair times
  • Avoid equipment interruptions ensuring operational continuity
  • Maintain highest equipment availability
