Job Requirements

  • bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • minimum 2 years relevant experience in administrative support, customer service, public relations, or hospitality
  • ability to work independently and responsibly as on-site staff representative
  • proficiency with Microsoft and Google platforms
  • experience handling multi-line phone systems
  • excellent multitasking and prioritizing skills
  • attention to detail and strong organizational abilities
  • excellent oral and written communication skills
  • ability to maintain confidentiality
  • experience supervising student workers
  • ability to work occasional nights and weekends
  • must pass criminal background check and education verification at Brown University

Job Qualifications

  • bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • minimum 2 years of experience in nonprofit or higher education administrative support, customer service, public relations, or hospitality
  • proficiency with Microsoft Office and Google platforms including calendar and email management
  • experience handling multi-line phone systems
  • excellent organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills

Job Duties

  • provide hospitality and front-line reception services at the Maddock Alumni Center
  • manage scheduling and building access for events and meetings
  • supervise and train student workers assigned to the front desk
  • coordinate with campus offices including Facilities for building maintenance and upkeep
  • manage supply distribution for Alumni Relations programs and volunteer cohorts
  • maintain departmental calendars and assist with event logistics
  • ensure the Maddock Alumni Center is prepared and guest-ready for all events and visitors
