Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree or similar level of education
  • Previous experience in venue operations, hospitality, event management, or customer service preferred
  • Strong communication skills
  • Ability to work on feet for long hours
  • Flexible availability including weekends, holidays, and extended hours
  • Ability to lift and move light equipment or supplies
  • Positive and proactive attitude
  • Ability to interact with diverse populations
  • Problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Fluent in English
  • Proficiency in Spanish and/or French is a plus
  • Proficiency in MS Office and database management tools

Job Duties

  • Work with the Host City Volunteer Manager to ensure operational readiness of the Volunteer Center including logistics and coordination
  • Assist in general upkeep of back-of-house areas
  • Manage Volunteer Platform system maintenance
  • Coordinate with security, IT, and facility management to ensure safety and functionality
  • Assist recruitment operations and manage the welcome desk to provide positive volunteer first impressions
  • Provide wayfinding assistance and respond to volunteer inquiries professionally
  • Monitor and restock food and beverage areas
  • Support maintaining clean and tidy environments
  • Report and resolve facility, technology, or equipment issues
  • Ensure all spaces remain welcoming and align with FIFA's standards
  • Serve as on-site ambassador for the FIFA Volunteer Program
  • Create a positive and memorable journey for all volunteers
