Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree or similar level of education
  • Previous experience in venue operations, hospitality, event management, or customer service preferred
  • Strong communication skills, professionalism, and ability to interact with diverse groups
  • Ability to work on feet for long hours in a fast-paced environment
  • Flexible schedule including weekends, holidays, and extended hours
  • Must be able to lift and move light equipment
  • Positive, can-do attitude
  • Ability to create and foster productive working relationships
  • Ability to meet deadlines and problem solving skills
  • Strong oral and written communication
  • Team player able to work under pressure
  • Patience and persistence
  • Flexible and adaptable to changing priorities

Job Duties

  • Work with the Host City Volunteer Manager to ensure operational readiness of the Volunteer Center including logistics and coordination
  • Assist in upkeep of office and break spaces and maintenance of Volunteer Platform system
  • Coordinate with security, IT, and facility management to ensure a safe, functional venue
  • Manage the welcome desk and provide wayfinding assistance to volunteers
  • Respond professionally to inquiries from volunteers and staff
  • Monitor and restock food and beverage areas
  • Maintain a clean, welcoming environment and promptly report and resolve facility or equipment issues
  • Serve as an ambassador to enhance the volunteer experience according to FIFA standards
