Job Requirements

  • Master's degree
  • Three years of teaching experience
  • Principal or Supervisor Certificate
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals and professional journals
  • Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals
  • Ability to present information and respond to questions effectively
  • Ability to perform basic mathematical operations and interpret data
  • Strong problem-solving and reasoning ability
  • Physical ability to perform tasks including standing, kneeling, bending, and lifting up to 15 pounds
  • Specific vision abilities including close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and focus adjustment
  • Willingness to travel occasionally to multiple campus locations
  • Ability to work in quiet to moderate noise environments

Job Qualifications

  • Master's degree

  • Effective presentation and communication skills
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide using whole numbers, fractions, and decimals
  • Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent
  • Ability to interpret bar graphs
  • Problem-solving skills for practical and concrete variables
  • Ability to interpret written, oral, diagrammatic, or schedule instructions

Job Duties

  • Establishes, maintains, and distributes the school master calendar and all daily announcements
  • Plans and coordinates all school assemblies and programs
  • Advises the student governing body
  • Develops and initiates programs for student and faculty communication
  • Recruits and orients sponsors for school clubs and organizations
  • Coordinates extracurricular activities including club activities, UIL and literary competitions, baccalaureate and graduation, awards night, pep rallies, pre-game and half-time shows, class activities and student council
  • Administers membership requirements and financial activities of all school-sponsored clubs
  • Plans and coordinates school productions and social functions
  • Coordinates school participation in district and community special events
  • Administers receipt, deposit, and disbursement of student body cash funds
  • Submits monthly tax reports to business services
  • Plans and coordinates student body fundraising activities
  • Administers and coordinates student elections and extracurricular activities
  • Hosts visiting groups and recruits, trains, and schedules student volunteers for hospitality
  • Secures and assigns personnel for supervision and security at all student activities
  • Manages supplemental time cards
  • Produces student and faculty ID cards
  • Provides tickets for activities such as football games and prom
  • Coordinates and supervises activities of school and civic groups in the auditorium
  • Coordinates academic UIL events including ordering and distribution of UIL rule information
  • Plans and maintains district competitions
  • Serves as liaison between school and media for publicity
  • Maintains files on club information
  • Orders and distributes graduation materials
  • Informs faculty and staff of safety drill procedures
  • Coordinates selection of students for special awards
  • Makes public address announcements
  • Approves posters
  • Facilitates communication inside the school and with the community
  • Participates in program development at campus and district levels
  • Attends professional development workshops and conventions
  • Supervises and appraises classroom teachers using teacher appraisal system
  • Delivers supplies to faculty and staff
  • Supervises athletic and non-athletic events
  • Evaluates and reviews performance of staff
  • Oversees teachers regarding curriculum, lesson planning, and discipline
  • Coordinates Adopt-a-Unit and military recruiter activities
  • Performs other duties as assigned
