Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Two years of experience working in the live event industry or prior event operations related work experience
  • Must have a Class 'C' vehicle operator's license or ability to obtain within 30 days of employment
  • Ability to work nights and weekends including breaks and holidays as needed

  • Ability to supervise and manage student staff
  • Knowledge of building management and venue operations
  • Familiarity with power tools and Adobe Creative Suite
  • Strong communication skills to articulate project goals
  • Knowledge of NCAA and SEC rules and regulations
  • Strong organizational and planning skills
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office

Job Duties

  • Identifies maintenance issues throughout athletic venues to determine maintenance or repair needs
  • Coordinates staff with venue requests including furniture/equipment moves and assembly
  • Prepares, prioritizes, and tracks work orders and communicates with coaches and staff
  • Completes regular inspections for cleanliness, maintenance, safety, and orderliness
  • Monitors media to identify events affecting facilities and campus resources
  • Coordinates general supply inventory and equipment storage organization
  • Oversees site safety and security for assigned venues
  • Serves as after-hours contact for assigned venues
  • Leads and assists game day venue management including setup and breakdown
  • Acts as on-call venue manager during athletic events providing in-game management
  • Ensures venue readiness for practices, competitions, and special activities
  • Coordinates with Events Management for special events
  • Oversees operations student assistant staff including hiring, training, scheduling, and daily oversight
  • Maintains venue operations guides and recommends policy improvements
  • Coordinates with branding and access management for assigned venues
  • Maintains familiarity and enforces NCAA, Conference, and University rules among staff and student workers
