Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree preferred
- Experience in event planning or coordination
- Excellent communication skills

Job Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in hospitality management, event planning, or related field preferred
- Previous experience in event coordination, hospitality, or customer service roles
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Proficiency with event scheduling and reservation systems
- Ability to manage multiple events and prioritize tasks effectively
- Knowledge of AV technology and catering services preferred
- Strong problem-solving abilities and adaptability
- Professional demeanor and reliability
Job Duties
- Serve as the primary point of contact for client inquiries regarding University Center spaces, services, and availability
- Conduct guided facility tours for prospective clients highlighting features and setup options
- Consult with clients to understand event objectives and identify logistical and service requirements
- Assist clients in selecting appropriate spaces and services and provide cost estimates
- Communicate policies, guidelines, deadlines, and pricing clearly to clients
- Create, manage, and update reservations using the scheduling system ensuring accurate documentation
- Maintain thorough records of event correspondence and final details
- Develop setup diagrams, timelines, and supporting documentation
- Coordinate event services and logistics with campus partners such as Catering, AV/ITS, Custodial, and Facilities
- Verify room setups and assist with physical setups as needed
- Serve as onsite support managing daily events providing customer service and ensuring execution as planned
- Troubleshoot event issues promptly to maintain client satisfaction
- Provide onsite event support during required frequent weekend and evening hours
- Support billing processes including reviewing event details and invoicing
- Build and maintain positive relationships with recurring clients
- Participate in departmental and client meetings, walkthroughs, and training sessions
- Assist with University Center operations including oversight of setup crews and partners when acting as manager on duty
- Attend professional development programs and serve as departmental representative on university committees
- Assist with additional departmental projects as assigned
