- a high school diploma and four years of experience in planning, coordinating and conducting special events, or a bachelor’s degree or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience
- position tasks are required to be performed in-person at an Emory University location
- working remote is not an option
- ability to interface with diverse client groups and vendors
- strong organizational and multitasking skills
- excellent communication skills

Job Duties
- Coordinate logistics for planning and executing conferences, meetings, and special events
- interface with clients to plan events and oversee implementation
- conduct pre-event site or venue tours with potential clients
- recommend appropriate venue options based on event scope and specifications
- liaise with catering vendors, staging staff, and other event production parties
- act as primary day-of-event representative to clients before, during, and after events
- track and monitor event expenses and oversee billing and payment processes
