The Coordinator - Events at MTSU is a pivotal role within the Murphy Center Operation department, responsible for managing and executing a variety of events held within the Murphy Center Complex. This position reports directly to the Complex Manager and requires a professional with strong organizational skills, leadership capabilities, and a commitment to delivering seamless event experiences. The Coordinator acts as the university's representative in an administrative capacity during events, ensuring that all operations run smoothly and efficiently from setup through event completion.
This role involves coordinating logistical aspects of events, including scheduling, staffing, and venue preparation. The Coordinator will supervise student employees, guiding and training them appropriately to maintain high operational standards. Additionally, the role requires keeping detailed records of event reservations and updating schedules using specialized event management software to ensure accurate communication and planning. Flexibility is essential, as the position requires working outside regular business hours, including nights, early mornings, weekends, and holidays, to support university events.

- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
- one year of directly related experience
- ability to work flexible schedules including nights, weekends, and holidays

Job Duties
