The position is based in Franklin, Tennessee, and requires onsite presence, with full-time hours of 40 per week, including some weekend coverage and potential on-call duties. Job Requirements

  • High school graduate
  • 2-year degree preferred but not required
  • minimum 3-5 years experience in inbound container drayage and import/export documentation coordination
  • strong knowledge of port and rail operations, container tracking, and drayage logistics
  • proficiency in Microsoft Office and transportation/order management systems
  • excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
  • ability to work in fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities
  • ability to build strong relationships among internal/external parties
  • strong and clear communication skills

Job Qualifications

Job Duties

  • Coordinate and schedule drayage shipments from ports and rail ramps to customer locations or warehouses
  • monitor container availability, free time, and last free day to avoid demurrage and detention charges
  • work closely with Distribution Centers to ensure on-time return of empty equipment within free time
  • communicate with port terminals, steamship lines, and trucking partners for timely pickups and deliveries
  • track and trace shipments and provide real-time updates
  • prepare and manage delivery orders, bills of lading, and customs paperwork
  • maintain accurate records in International Order Management and Final Mile Delivery Order systems
  • resolve service issues, delays, and equipment shortages urgently
  • collaborate with International Shipping Manager, Trade Compliance, Import/Export Broker, warehouse, and billing departments
  • build strong relationships with internal and external drayage teams
  • work with International Shipping Manager for quick resolution of documentation or drayage delays
  • coordinate with Senior Logistics Analyst to audit and reconcile freight bills and provide weekly reports
  • maintain claims freight filing process and generate monthly reports showing gap analysis and root causes
