Job Requirements

  • ability to lift and carry objects weighing up to 50 pounds
  • ability to stand, walk, kneel, and bend for long periods
  • flexibility in scheduling with availability to work some nights, weekends and holidays

Job Qualifications

  • Previous kitchen coordination experience a plus
  • passion for delivering an exceptional food experience
  • past experience guiding and directing a group of people
  • demonstrates ability to communicate clearly and concisely both orally and in writing
  • excellent verbal and interpersonal skills
  • ability to independently keep multiple projects organized
  • take initiative to improve the program
  • coordinate smoothly while maintaining a highly collaborative work style with the Culinary Team
  • proven ability to pull together documents for deliverables and data from various sources
  • ability to work constructively with individuals from diverse socioeconomic backgrounds
  • proficient with Microsoft Office and Google Suite
  • Zoom and Asana experience a plus
  • valid SERV Safe Manager Certification or ability to obtain within 90 days

Job Duties

  • Models FTB's Grow Code and performs all functions in alignment with the strategic plan
  • track multiple programs and keep them separated at one time
  • train and monitor the kitchen volunteers
  • assist the Executive Chef with bulk meal production
  • ensure data trackers are accurate and up-to-date
  • maintain inventory
  • maintaining cleanliness and ensuring compliance with sanitation and hygiene standards
  • responsible for facility upkeep including cleaning, sweeping, mopping, and trash removal
  • commit to upholding policies, principles and best practices for food safety
  • actively participate in mission-driven programs such as food distribution initiatives and disaster relief operations as needed
  • perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned
