Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
- 1-3 years of experience in event coordination
- Ability to travel up to 15-20 percent of the time
- Personable flexible organized detail oriented
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite
Job Qualifications
- 1-3 years of experience in a coordinator role planning and executing events
- Highly proficient in Microsoft Word Excel Outlook and internet research preferred
- Experience with Cvent and Salesforce a plus
- Desire to complete the meeting management certification or equivalent
- Strong follow-up and time management skills
- Great attitude and client focus
- Ability to remain calm and focused under pressure
Job Duties
- Assisting with the planning and execution of conferences including working with vendors hotels and sponsors
- Conducting research to select venues decor restaurants activities children’s programming and entertainers
- Serving as a liaison between the event technology specialist and project manager to ensure all design communication reporting deliverables deadlines are set and met
- Coordinating administrative aspects of conferences and other events including entering data and maintaining databases coordinating mailings reporting historical tracking and so forth
- Acting as a liaison with travel vendors for flight bookings and changes
- Proofreading transportation manifests hotel rooming lists and conference collateral
- Collaborating with event technology specialist on internal conference software Cvent for building registration and websites
