Job Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience and education
  • two years experience in high-end event planning preferably in higher education
  • proficient in Microsoft Office
  • knowledge of Raisers Edge or other CRM preferred
  • ability to establish effective work relationships
  • strong organizational skills
  • ability to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines
  • excellent communication skills both written and verbal
  • ability to work a flexible schedule
  • ability to use personal computer and office equipment

Job Duties

  • Supports Manager of Advancement Events in planning and executing high-quality events and ceremonies
  • assists with event program development
  • manages detailed logistics for assigned events ensuring high standards of customer relations, protocol, and etiquette
  • assists in designing and preparing event invitations, programs, and correspondence
  • researches venues, catering options, and supports setup and teardown of events
  • coordinates with campus photographer, social media, and internal departments to promote events
  • maintains Special Events calendar for university-wide awareness
  • develops productive working relationships with campus and community resources
  • supports post-event wrap-up including budget reconciliation, storage, and surveys
  • assists in vendor procurement and ensuring policy compliance
  • performs other duties as assigned
