Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Two years of experience in administrative or customer service roles
  • Proven ability to self-initiate tasks and manage goals
  • Capability to learn new software applications
  • Strong organizational skills and time management
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality
  • Excellent interpersonal skills both written and verbal
  • Flexibility in adapting to changing priorities
  • Competency in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Ability to remain calm under pressure
  • Positive attitude and strong customer service orientation
  • Capability to perform moderate physical activity including lifting up to 30 pounds

Job Qualifications

  • Associate or Bachelor’s Degree with emphasis in business, marketing, public relations, or related field preferred
  • At least two years professional experience in an administrative position or customer service
  • Ability to self-initiate and be goal driven to initiate donor contacts
  • Ability to learn software used by the church
  • Strong organizational, administrative, and time management skills
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality
  • Excellent interpersonal skills over phone, written, and in-person
  • Ability to relate well to people
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and responsibilities
  • Expertise and competency in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Ability to remain calm and composed under pressure
  • A positive attitude and genuine passion for providing exceptional service
  • Experience in CANVA preferred but not required
  • Moderate physical activity capacity including lifting, pulling or pushing items up to 30 pounds

Job Duties

  • Professionally serve as an ambassador with donors as the first point of contact, answering questions, assisting donors with individual giving needs, responding to connection requests, ensuring accuracy with scheduled transactions and commitments, all while providing exceptional hospitality
  • Manage and respond to incoming correspondence
  • Oversee office operational matters including budgets and expenses, purchasing, mailings, expense reimbursements, contractual arrangements, coordinating room reservations, travel, and related tasks
  • Maintain calendars for Donor Relations exercising professional discretion regarding scheduling of appointments, meetings, and events
  • Create, pull, and manage databases, event registrations, surveys, and reports for donor analytics and assign connection requests for timely response
  • Coordinate project management and communication initiatives for Donor Relations through the RXP process including submitting information, tracking timelines, maintaining websites, updating printed materials
  • Provide administrative oversight and execution for Donor Relations events and meetings such as room reservations, overseeing setup, invitations, catering, ordering supplies, assisting with agendas and taking minutes with potential for weekend or evening support
  • Maintain donor communication records
  • Perform other duties as assigned
