Job Requirements
- Valid food handler’s permit or willingness to obtain
- Ability to work 5.5 hours per day for 180 days annually
- Reliable transportation to and from work
- Background check clearance
- Ability to follow instructions accurately
- Strong attention to detail
- Commitment to nondiscrimination and workplace safety practices
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Prior experience in cooking or meal preparation is desirable
- Knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices
- Ability to operate kitchen equipment safely
- Good communication and teamwork skills
- Physical ability to perform duties including lifting and standing
- Familiarity with K-8 school environment is a plus
Job Duties
- Prepare meals following established guidelines
- Transport meals between kitchen and designated locations
- Ensure cleanliness and sanitation standards are met
- Assist in inventory and stock management
- Adhere to all health and safety regulations
- Coordinate with school staff for meal schedules
- Report any equipment or supply issues promptly
