Job Requirements
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
- One to three years related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Ability to follow recipes and food safety standards
- Capability to lead kitchen staff in food preparation and cleaning
- Physical ability to stand for extended periods and perform kitchen duties
- Willingness to work every other Saturday and Sunday part-time
- Certification in sanitation safe food handling preferred

- Prior institutional and/or healthcare service experience preferred
Job Duties
- Follow recipes and prepare food that corresponds to menus meeting residents nutritional needs
- Cook or prepare palatable, attractive, nutritionally adequate meals in needed quantities
- Lead kitchen staff with food preparation, assembling trays, cleaning, and storage of supplies and equipment
- Maintain a clean food service work area during food preparation and service
- Handle, store, and dispose of food supplies following departmental procedures and compliance with state and federal regulations
