Job Requirements

Must pass background and fingerprint investigation and pre employment drug screening
Must possess a valid New Mexico driver’s license
Must have proof of auto liability insurance
Must have own reliable transportation and agency insurable driving record
Must be able to sit and perform keyboarding functions occasionally
Must be able to stand, walk, bend, stoop, and reach above shoulders frequently
May be required to visit various locations to carry out essential job duties
Must be able to lift 50 pounds occasionally
Must comply with drug free workplace policy

Job Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent
One year experience in food preparation
Bilingual capacity in English and Spanish
Ability to read and write English to understand and interpret written procedures

Job Duties

Preparing and serving meals as outlined by the Nutritional Program of New Mexico
Monitoring and assisting in the delivery of home delivered meals
Maintaining and cleaning the kitchen area
Ensuring all equipment is clean, working properly and safe to operate
Overseeing and monitoring the proper storage of food and supplies
Packaging, labeling, dating, storing and freezing leftover food within the required timeframe or disposing of it properly
Providing information to the Site Supervisor of food and kitchen supplies needed to prepare the monthly menu
Assisting in completing and maintaining all documents pertinent to kitchen operations
Performing other duties as assigned
