Job Requirements

  • Pass background and fingerprint investigation
  • Pass pre-employment drug screening
  • Hold a valid New Mexico driver’s license
  • Provide proof of auto liability insurance
  • Have own reliable transportation
  • Maintain an agency insurable driving record
  • Ability to sit, stand, walk, bend, stoop, and reach frequently
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs occasionally
  • Willingness to visit various locations as needed
  • Commitment to a drug-free workplace

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • One year experience in food preparation
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish
  • Ability to read and write English
  • Experience in maintaining kitchen cleanliness and safety

Job Duties

  • Prepare and serve meals as outlined by the Nutritional Program of New Mexico
  • Monitor and assist in the delivery of home delivered meals
  • Maintain and clean the kitchen area
  • Ensure all kitchen equipment is clean, working properly, and safe to operate
  • Oversee and monitor the proper storage of food and supplies
  • Ensure leftover food is packaged, labeled, dated, stored, frozen within two weeks, or disposed of properly
  • Provide information to the Site Supervisor about food and kitchen supply needs
  • Assist in maintaining all documents related to kitchen operations
  • Perform other duties as assigned
