Job Requirements
- must pass background/fingerprint investigation and pre-employment drug screening
- must possess a valid nm driver’s license, and proof of auto liability insurance
- must have own reliable transportation and agency insurable driving record
- must be able to sit, perform keyboarding functions occasionally
- must be able to stand, walk, bend, stoop, and reach above shoulder(s) frequently
- may be required to visit various locations in order to carry out the essential job duties
- must be able to lift 50 lbs. occasionally

Job Qualifications
- high school diploma or equivalent required
- one year experience in food preparation is required
- bilingual capacity is required
- english and spanish
- must have basic computer skills
- must have strong organizational, written, problem solving, verbal communication and time management skills
- must have the ability to effectively communicate in english with internal and external customers of adelante
- have the ability to read and write english in order to understand and interpret written procedures
- have the ability to maintain harmonious, courteous and considerate relationships, while fostering a collaborative teamwork environment with both agency employees and the public
Job Duties
- preparing and serving meals as outlined by the nutritional program of new mexico
- monitoring and assisting in the delivery of home delivered meals
- maintaining and cleaning the kitchen area, and ensuring all equipment is clean, working properly and safe to operate
- overseeing and monitoring the proper storage of food and supplies
- ensure leftover food is packaged, labeled, dated, stored and frozen as a home delivered meal within a two week time frame, or is disposed of properly
- providing information to the site supervisor of food and kitchen supplies needed to prepare the monthly menu at the center
- assist in completing and maintaining all documents pertinent to the overall operations of the kitchen
