Job Requirements
- Deli cook must have meat slicing experience
- Line cooks should have a minimum of one full year of line cook experience in a full-service restaurant
- Able to handle and operate safely microwave, knives, steam table, gas range, convection ovens, meat and bread slicers, check printer, kitchen display system and scales
- Available to work flexible schedules including various shifts
- Physically able to stand for extended periods and perform kitchen tasks
- Willing to adhere to company policies and food safety standards
Job Qualifications
- Minimum one year of line cook experience in a full-service restaurant for Line Cooks
- Meat slicing experience for Deli Cooks
- Ability to safely handle kitchen equipment such as knives, steam tables, gas ranges, ovens, and slicers
- Strong teamwork and communication skills
- Basic understanding of food safety and sanitation practices
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen environment
Job Duties
- Prepare and cook menu items according to TooJay's recipes and standards
- Operate kitchen equipment safely including microwave, knives, steam table, gas range, convection ovens, meat and bread slicers
- Collaborate with kitchen team members to ensure efficient and timely food preparation
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen and workstations
- Follow all food safety and sanitation guidelines
- Manage order tickets printing and use kitchen display systems effectively
- Monitor portion sizes and ensure quality control during food preparation
