Job Requirements

  • Deli cook must have meat slicing experience
  • Line cooks should have a minimum of one full year of line cook experience in a full-service restaurant
  • Able to handle and operate safely microwave, knives, steam table, gas range, convection ovens, meat and bread slicers, check printer, kitchen display system and scales
  • Available to work flexible schedules including various shifts
  • Physically able to stand for extended periods and perform kitchen tasks
  • Willing to adhere to company policies and food safety standards

Job Qualifications

  • Minimum one year of line cook experience in a full-service restaurant for Line Cooks
  • Meat slicing experience for Deli Cooks
  • Ability to safely handle kitchen equipment such as knives, steam tables, gas ranges, ovens, and slicers
  • Strong teamwork and communication skills
  • Basic understanding of food safety and sanitation practices
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen environment

Job Duties

  • Prepare and cook menu items according to TooJay's recipes and standards
  • Operate kitchen equipment safely including microwave, knives, steam table, gas range, convection ovens, meat and bread slicers
  • Collaborate with kitchen team members to ensure efficient and timely food preparation
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen and workstations
  • Follow all food safety and sanitation guidelines
  • Manage order tickets printing and use kitchen display systems effectively
  • Monitor portion sizes and ensure quality control during food preparation
