Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- Ability to pass pre-employment (post offer) background check
- Legally authorized to work in the U.S.
- Can communicate effectively in English
- Proven cooking experience including line chef or restaurant cook
- Knowledge of food preparation, cooking methods, and food safety regulations
- Upbeat and friendly attitude
- Open availability and flexible schedule
- Ability to work in standing position for long periods
- Ability to bend and kneel through shift
- Able to lift up to 25 pounds or more
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Proven cooking experience as a line chef, restaurant cook, or prep cook
- Knowledge of basic principles of food preparation, cooking methods, and food safety regulations including proper handling, sanitation, and storage
- Upbeat and friendly attitude
- Effective communication skills in English
- Ability to work as part of a team
- Accuracy and speed in task execution
- Open availability and flexible schedule for demanding hours
Job Duties
- Prepare food for service by chopping vegetables, butchering meat, or preparing sauces using approved recipes and production standards for quality, temperature, and portion control
- Maintain safety standards while using knives and other food preparation equipment
- Restock and break down workstation at the conclusion of the shift
- Assist in controlling product costs by managing product waste effectively
- Clean, sanitize, and maintain all assigned work areas, equipment, and utensils to meet sanitation standards
- Work efficiently with speed, multitasking, and organizational skills
- Maintain a positive and professional attitude with coworkers and customers
