Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Ability to pass pre-employment background check
  • Legally authorized to work in the U.S.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in English
  • Proven cooking experience including as a line cook, restaurant cook, or prep cook
  • Knowledge of food preparation basics, cooking methods, food safety regulations such as handling, sanitation, and storage
  • Positive, upbeat attitude
  • Open availability and flexible schedule for demanding hours
  • Ability to communicate and work well in a team
  • Accuracy and speed in executing tasks
  • Ability to stand for long periods
  • Ability to bend and kneel during shift
  • Able to lift 25 pounds or more

Job Qualifications

  • Knowledge of basic food preparation principles, cooking methods, and food safety regulations including proper food handling, sanitation, and storage

Job Duties

  • Prepare food for service including chopping vegetables, butchering meat, and preparing sauces using approved recipes and production standards
  • Maintain safety standards while using knives and other food preparation equipment
  • Restock and break down workstation at the end of each shift
  • Assist in controlling product costs by managing product waste effectively
  • Clean, sanitize, and maintain assigned work areas, equipment, and utensils to meet sanitation standards
  • Work with speed and efficiency while multitasking and maintaining organizational structure
  • Maintain a positive and professional approach with coworkers and customers
