Job Requirements
- high school diploma or ged preferred
- previous kitchen or food service experience preferred healthcare setting a plus
- basic knowledge of food preparation and safe food handling practices
- ability to follow recipes menus and supervisor instructions

Job Duties
- assist the cook with food preparation including washing cutting measuring and assembling ingredients
- help prepare meals according to menus recipes and therapeutic diet orders
- assist with cooking tasks such as portioning plating and temperature checks
- set up meal trays and assist with meal service
- ensure food is prepared and served following proper sanitation and food safety guidelines
- clean and sanitize kitchen equipment work areas and utensils
- wash dishes and assist with trash removal
