Job Requirements
- high school diploma or equivalent
- two years of cooking experience in large-scale operations
- one year of experience in long term care preferred
- knowledge of food safety and sanitation regulations
- ability to follow menu specifications and preparation guidelines
- capacity to work part-time shifts
- strong organizational and communication skills
Job Qualifications
- high school diploma or equivalency preferred
- two years as cook in a large-scale cooking operation preferred
- one year's work experience in long term care preferred
Job Duties
- prepare and serve meals according to the menu
- monitor methods of food handling, preparation, meal service, and equipment cleaning
- provide nutritionally appropriate food to residents
- ensure quality food service and nutrition care
- comply with Federal, State and Local food service regulations
- maintain cleanliness and safety standards in the kitchen
- support team communication to enhance resident dining experience
