Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- Minimum one year cooking or baking experience
- Ability to read and write English and follow oral and written instructions
- Ability to walk and stand for long periods of time
- Capability to work with equipment producing heat, steam, and cold
- Ability to follow recipes accurately
- Knowledge of HACCP principles and food safety codes
- Proficiency with knife skills

- Able to walk and stand for long periods
- Able to work with and around equipment that generates heat, steam, and cold
- Able to follow recipes to prepare food

- Demonstrates appropriate knife skills
- Preferred experience cooking from scratch or a la carte restaurant experience
Job Duties
- Cooks and seasons food for patients, employees, guests, and visitors following established recipes
- Prepares and stores food in accordance with HACCP principles and applicable food codes
- Safely uses, cleans, and cares for equipment and work areas
- Accurately manages position paperwork including following recipes and production sheets and completing forecasting documents
- Follows correct hand hygiene procedures including washing hands between tasks and using gloves when handling ready-to-eat foods
- Utilizes appropriate communication and responds to patients and internal customers promoting collaboration
- Performs cleaning and sanitation procedures on equipment
- Monitors food temperatures, date-marks food items, and ensures proper storage and use-by dates
- Prepares, assembles, serves, cooks, or bakes food and beverages per guidelines and recipes meeting time deadlines for service
