Job Requirements

  • Experience cooking and baking in a foodservice operation
  • current ServSafe Certification Manager's Certification
  • must be able to lift up to 40lbs
  • requires full range of body motion including reaching, stooping, bending and walking
  • requires standing for extended periods of time

Job Qualifications

  • Experience in cooking and baking in a foodservice operation
  • current ServSafe Manager Certification
  • knowledge of food safety basics related to food preparation and serving
  • knowledge of proper cleaning and sanitary requirements in food preparation areas
  • willingness to operate a POS system, familiarity with Mosaic POS preferred
  • spirit of cooperation and teamwork
  • ability to stand for extended periods

Job Duties

  • Prepare and serve breakfast and lunch
  • operate cooking equipment and perform meal preparation including cooking and baking as per daily menus
  • operate POS system on the serving line and balance daily sales
  • prepare necessary production paperwork
  • set and reset the serving line and restock serving areas
  • assist with general cleanup including dishwashing, cleaning and sanitation of food preparation areas, and laundry
  • serve on the student line as necessary
  • follow proper job safety, health, cleaning, and quality control practices
  • attend department meetings as required
  • perform additional duties assigned by Cafeteria Manager or Food Service Director
