Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • culinary arts training preferred
  • two years of dietary experience
  • must have knowledge of dietary procedures as well as related laws, regulations, and guidelines pertaining to food service operations
  • must possess leadership ability and willingness to work harmoniously with and supervise professional and non-professional personnel
  • be able to lift up to 50 lbs
  • this is primarily a standing position, may need to stand in one place for extended periods of time

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent

  • knowledge of dietary procedures and related laws, regulations, and guidelines pertaining to food service operations
  • leadership ability and willingness to work harmoniously with and supervise professional and non-professional personnel

Job Duties

  • Assures all dietary procedures are followed
  • must be able to operate all kitchen equipment safely and effectively, including meat slicer, food processor, mixers, ovens, grills, steamers, dishwasher, dumb waiter, and warmer cabinets
  • assists in establishing food production line to ensure meals are prepared on time
  • represents the community with a positive attitude and pride when interacting with potential residents and families
  • prepares and serves nutritious meals, ensuring high-quality presentation and flavorful meals for residents
