Job Requirements
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift heavy pots pans and trays
- Comfortable working in a hot and fast-paced kitchen environment
- Must adhere to all grooming standards no visible tattoos piercings or unnatural hair colors
Job Qualifications
- Proven experience as a cook in a high-volume restaurant setting
- Knowledge of various cooking techniques and methods
- Familiarity with food safety regulations and best practices
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Flexibility to work shifts including evenings weekends and holidays
- Culinary degree or relevant culinary certifications are a plus
Job Duties
- Prepare sushi ingredients such as rice fish vegetables and other components ensuring high-quality and fresh ingredients are used
- Slice chop and fillet fish and other seafood with precision and skill
- Roll sushi rolls nigiri sashimi and other sushi variations using traditional techniques and artistic presentation
- Maintain a clean and organized work station following proper hygiene and food safety standards
- Ensure that sushi dishes are prepared and served in a timely manner to meet customer demands
- Collaborate with kitchen staff and other sushi chefs to coordinate orders and maintain a smooth workflow
- Assist in the creation and development of new sushi dishes and menu items
