Job Requirements

  • Experience supervising multiple employees
  • Ability to pass a background check
  • Strong communication and leadership skills
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Willingness to work onsite in a correctional facility
  • Ability to work full-time hours

Job Duties

  • Providing hands-on supervision and oversight for the preparation, cooking, and portioning of meals, following company recipes based on daily needs and contractual obligations
  • Ensuring all meals meet standards for quality
  • Supervising multiple employees and coordinating their tasks in the kitchen
  • Maintaining compliance with food safety and sanitation standards
  • Monitoring inventory levels and assisting with ordering supplies
  • Training new staff and enforcing kitchen policies and procedures
  • Reporting operational issues to management and collaborating to resolve challenges
