With locations such as their Roseville, California facility, Summit plays a critical role in supporting the correctional system by supplying food services that emphasize both quality and social interaction during mealtimes.

The Food Service Supervisor position at Summit in Roseville, CA, is a full-time onsite role designed for experienced and motivated individuals to oversee daily meal production within a correctional facility kitchen. This role requires hands-on supervision of kitchen activities including preparation, cooking, and portioning of meals according to specific company recipes and contractual obligations. Supervisors are vital in maintaining meal quality standards, orchestrating kitchen staff efforts, and ensuring operational excellence in a highly regulated environment. Candidates will have the opportunity to work closely with multiple employees, applying strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.

Compensation for this role ranges from $20.00 to $25.00 per hour, reflecting the importance of the supervisory responsibilities in maintaining the high standards expected by Summit and the correctional institutions they serve. The position also offers a comprehensive benefits package that includes medical, dental, and vision coverage for full-time employees, as well as additional voluntary insurance options such as accident, critical illness, and hospital indemnity. Employees can benefit from discount programs, commuter benefits, employee assistance programs, 401k plans, sick time, holiday pay including nine paid holidays, tuition reimbursement, and paid time off.

As a Food Service Supervisor, the successful candidate will bring prior supervisory experience, excellent attention to detail, and a strong commitment to food safety and service quality. Preferred candidates may also hold an advanced degree in culinary arts or related fields and possess a Food Handler's certification, enhancing their ability to lead the kitchen team effectively. This role offers a meaningful opportunity to contribute to the correctional food service sector, providing nutritious meals and maintaining a positive environment for those in the correctional system.
