Job Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years of previous kitchen experience preferred
  • ability to work full time with flexible schedule
  • knowledge of safe food handling practices
  • ability to train and lead a team
  • good communication and interpersonal skills
  • ability to stand for long periods and work in a fast-paced environment

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • minimum 2 years of previous kitchen experience preferred
  • experience supervising foodservice staff
  • knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards
  • ability to use and maintain kitchen equipment
  • strong organizational and communication skills
  • ability to work varied shifts including weekends and holidays

Job Duties

  • Train employees
  • plan, assign and direct work
  • appraise performance
  • reward and discipline associates
  • address complaints and resolve problems
  • advise management on purchasing requirements to minimize waste and avoid shortages
  • use approved food recipes and production standards to ensure proper quality and portion control
  • operate and clean equipment according to procedures
  • store, label and date food items following policies
  • maintain established food rotations
  • follow HACCP guidelines to ensure food safety
  • operate food-service equipment safely
  • remain present during meal periods to serve and receive customer feedback
  • perform other duties as assigned
