Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Must hold ServSafe Manager certification
  • Previous experience in a hospital or long term care facility preferred
  • Ability to unload and stock groceries on shelves of various heights
  • Ability to lift items up to 50 lbs
  • Ability to read, write and understand English
  • Ability to perform simple math calculations, measure and record data
  • Ability to supervise and instruct others
  • Ability to remain calm in stressful situations
  • Ability to communicate professionally with residents, staff and family members

Job Duties

  • Supervise and monitor dietary personnel, ensuring compliance with protocols and guidelines
  • Prepare and serve meals tailored to residents' dietary requirements, in coordination with the Dietary Manager
  • Contribute insights to production planning, including forecasting needs and recipe development
  • Assist in the procurement and proper storage of food and equipment
  • Ensure the dietary department consistently delivers visually appealing, high-quality meals within budget constraints
  • Proficiently operate various kitchen equipment and adaptive tools for residents' specialized needs
  • Respond promptly to residents' requests and needs, demonstrating flexibility and responsiveness
  • Collaborate with the Dietary Manager in planning and executing facility-wide special events
