Job Qualifications
- 2+ years of experience as a prep or line cook
- leadership experience in a culinary or food service setting
- proficient in following recipes, using proper knife skills, and cooking techniques
- knowledge of food safety and quality standards
- effective communication skills
- ability to train and develop team members
- strong organizational and time management skills
- ability to engage with customers and provide food-related suggestions
Job Duties
- assist the sous chefs in running the kitchen and overseeing the team
- follow recipes, use proper knife skills, and apply cooking techniques to ensure consistency
- share your knowledge and passion for food with customers by suggesting meal ideas using products from departments around the store
- manage employee performance, including training, feedback and development opportunities
- maintain food safety and quality standards throughout kitchen operations
- coordinate with other store departments to ensure seamless kitchen workflow
- contribute to kitchen profitability by efficient management of resources and staff
