Job Qualifications

  • 2+ years of experience as a prep or line cook
  • leadership experience in a culinary or food service setting
  • proficient in following recipes, using proper knife skills, and cooking techniques
  • knowledge of food safety and quality standards
  • effective communication skills
  • ability to train and develop team members
  • strong organizational and time management skills
  • ability to engage with customers and provide food-related suggestions

Job Duties

  • assist the sous chefs in running the kitchen and overseeing the team
  • follow recipes, use proper knife skills, and apply cooking techniques to ensure consistency
  • share your knowledge and passion for food with customers by suggesting meal ideas using products from departments around the store
  • manage employee performance, including training, feedback and development opportunities
  • maintain food safety and quality standards throughout kitchen operations
  • coordinate with other store departments to ensure seamless kitchen workflow
  • contribute to kitchen profitability by efficient management of resources and staff
