Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Valid driver's license
- Ability to demonstrate understanding of facility's recipes, policies, and procedures
- Ability to communicate production/service requirements to personnel
- Prior experience in managing or quantity food production in commercial, military, or institutional settings
- Ability to work with relevant computer software
- Physical ability to lift, carry, push/pull up to 60 lbs frequently
- Physical ability to bend, stoop, reach above shoulder level, climb, walk, and stand occasionally
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- College credits or technical training courses are preferred but not mandatory
- Must possess a valid driver's license
- Ability to demonstrate use and understanding of facility's recipes, policies, and procedures
- Ability to communicate minimum production/service requirements to all personnel
- One-year prior experience in managing and/or quantity food production in commercial, military, or institutional settings is helpful
- Ability to work with computers and necessary software typically used by the department
Job Duties
- Prepare production/service and preparation/inventory documents before each meal
- Oversee additional records such as service plan, tray assessments, restricted diets, daily sanitation, and meal delivery
- Carry out the orientation and training program for inmate workers
- Ensure safety compliance and monitor equipment maintenance
