Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Knowledge of basic food preparation principles
- Ability to read and follow recipes
- Understanding of nutrition program philosophy and regulations
- Basic communication and writing skills
- Basic mathematical skills
- Ability to operate kitchen machinery
- Ability to maintain tuberculosis skin test
- Ability to work in moderate noise and occasional outdoor conditions

Job Duties
- Follow planned menus to prepare meals
- Prepare meals following quantity production and portion control techniques
- Document meal services accurately
- Operate kitchen machinery safely
- Communicate effectively with managers, patients, and the public
- Comply with Child Nutrition Program requirements and regulations
- Maintain cleanliness and organization in the food preparation area
