Job Requirements

  • high school diploma or equivalent
  • successful completion of a Cook Specialist I examination
  • ability to pass live scan fingerprinting
  • ability to pass a pre-employment physical including drug testing
  • ability to work varied shifts
  • must follow state and county public health guidelines
  • veteran status documentation if applying for CalVet Veterans Hiring Preference
  • able to perform physical tasks related to food service
  • willingness to work overtime if required

Job Qualifications

  • experience in food preparation or cooking
  • knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices
  • ability to follow recipes and instructions accurately

Job Duties

  • assist in preparing food
