- Ability to maintain supplies, equipment and work area cleanliness
- Willingness to learn and incorporate new food methods and principles
Job Duties
- Inspect special diet trays to assure the correct diet is served to residents
- Perform administrative tasks such as completing forms and reports and submit to Director of Food Services
- Coordinate food service with other departments as necessary
- Work with facility dietitian and implement recommended changes
- Ensure all food procedures are followed according to policies
- Prepare meals according to planned menus
- Prepare and serve meals that are palatable and appetizing
- Serve food in accordance with established portion control
- Prepare food for therapeutic diets
- Prepare food according to standardized recipes and special diet orders
