Job Requirements
- Ability to prepare and cook meals safely and according to schedules
- Knowledge of food handling and sanitation regulations
- Experience in cooking large quantities of meals
- Ability to follow recipes and make independent decisions when necessary
- Basic literacy in English
- Commitment to teamwork and excellent communication skills
- Availability to work Friday, Saturday, and Sunday from 10:30 A.M. to 7:00 P.M.
Job Qualifications
- Demonstration of core values including love, kindness, honesty, goodness, fairness, and respect
- High school diploma preferred but must be able to read and write English
- Previous experience in dietary department of health care facility preferred
- Ability to prepare and cook a variety of foods in large quantities
- Knowledge of special diets, seasoning, cooking times, and temperature controls
- Ability to estimate food quantities, limit waste, and reuse leftovers
- Strong culinary skills and food safety knowledge
Job Duties
- Prepare, cook, season, and serve meals including meat, fish, poultry, vegetables, soups, salads, desserts, breads, and pastries
- Comply with meal schedules and standard recipes
- Handle food properly following safety regulations
- Estimate food quantities and monitor portion control
- Prepare foodstuffs such as peeling, washing, trimming, and cutting ingredients
- Taste and observe food to ensure quality and conformity with recipes
- Serve food according to dietary guidelines and ensure tray accuracy
