Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • minimum of 1 year cooking experience preferably in assisted living or healthcare settings
  • current ServSafe certification
  • ability to stand for extended periods and perform kitchen duties
  • strong attention to detail and commitment to food safety
  • ability to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays
  • good communication skills and ability to work in a team environment

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • prior experience as a cook preferably in a healthcare or assisted living environment
  • knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards including ServSafe certification
  • ability to follow recipes and portion controls accurately
  • strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • good communication and teamwork abilities

Job Duties

  • Prepare lunch and dinner daily ensuring meals meet quality taste and presentation standards
  • maintain quality control during service to guarantee consistency and excellence
  • keep the kitchen clean and organized following all food safety and sanitation protocols
  • assist with inventory control ordering and receiving supplies to maintain efficient kitchen operations
  • follow standardized recipes accurately while ensuring proper portion control
  • ensure compliance with ServSafe food safety guidelines and local health regulations
  • work collaboratively with the food service team to provide an outstanding dining experience for residents
